The Vermont Organic Fiber Company, LLC (VTOF) is the global leader in the processing and sale of certified organic wool. The company commenced full scale commercial operations in 2005 and has been engaged ever since in the sale of O~Wool® branded certified organic wool products including yarns (commercial and for hand knitting), knit and woven fabrics, and finished mattress pads.

The market is ripe for an expansion of the organic fiber marketplace, including products made from organic cotton, wool, flax (linen) and more. According to Organic Exchange (OE), a non-profit organization committed to increasing the use of organically grown fiber, global retail sales of products made with certified organic cotton reached $3.2 billion in 2008, and are projected to reach $4.0 billion in 2009 and grow to $5.3 billion by 2010. While manufacturers have focused on the organic cotton market, they are increasingly looking for alternative organic fibers to integrate into their product line and VTOF is well positioned to provide high quality wool and finished products to meet their need.
